  • A form of ID. You'll need this to verify your account with a crypto exchange and begin trading.
  • A payment method. This can be a bank account, credit or debit card, or even another cryptocurrency.
  • Your own crypto wallet. While you can choose to keep your PNUT on the exchange from which you buy it, it's generally safer to store your crypto on your own custodial software or hardware wallet.

Crypto market update: June 2025

Crypto markets have swung sharply over the past month amid geopolitical tensions and fresh regulatory moves. Bitcoin broke past US$110K while Ether soared 45% in May, outpacing Bitcoin and the broader DeFi market. The volatility follows Donald Trump’s evolving stance on tariffs on China, Canada and Mexico, which rattled risk assets. A U.S. court has since ruled the tariffs illegal, adding to market uncertainty. Meanwhile, Trump’s order to create national crypto reserves and the SEC’s approval of spot crypto ETFs have boosted long-term investor sentiment.
